Warehouse Operatives are an integral part of the supply chain, responsible for storing, packing, and organising goods for dispatch and transport. Apprentices develop practical skills in inventory management, health and safety compliance, and efficient warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and effective supply chain performance.

Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Standard Information

  • To go through gateway, the following criteria have to be met:

    • The apprentice has achieved English and mathematics at level 1.

  • The assessment approach for this standard has two methods:

    • Interview underpinned by a portfolio of evidence.

    • Observation with questions.

    • Duration: 60 minutes (+10%).

    • Format: At least 8 questions.

    • Portfolio used to support answers (not graded).

    • Covers: work organisation, comms, stock control, IT/digital, sustainability, EDI, CPD.

    • Duration: 75 mins (+10%).

    • Assessor observes workplace tasks.

    • Min. 3 questions during/after.

    • Tests practical skills & behaviours.

  • Enrol on programme.

  • Start building your Reflective Portfolio.

Start of Apprenticeship


  • Resit = No new learning.

  • Retake = Extra learning.

Resits / Retakes (if needed)
